No dark patterns. Ever.
A lot of "free" tool sites make money by making the tool itself annoying to use — fake timers, forced sign-ups, deceptive download buttons. We don't do any of that. Here's the specific list of things we've committed to never doing.
No fake countdown timers
The tool is ready the moment the page loads. We don't insert an artificial "processing…" delay or a countdown before letting you download your result — competitors sometimes add these to make room for extra ad impressions.
No forced sign-up or email wall
Every tool works the instant you land on the page. We never gate a result behind "enter your email to see your file" — that's not a real cost of running the tool, it's a growth-hacking wall between you and what you asked for.
No misleading download buttons
You won't find three oversized "Download" buttons where only one is real and the others are ads styled to look like the tool. There is exactly one download button, and it does what it says.
No popups blocking the tool
No interstitials, no exit-intent popups, no "before you go" modals. If a popup would get between you and the tool you came for, we don't use it.
No fake urgency or scarcity
No "only 3 free conversions left today" or "100 people are using this right now" banners. These tools have no usage limit to manufacture urgency around.
No hidden pricing tiers
What you see is what's free. There's no "basic" tier that’s deliberately crippled to push you toward a paid plan — every tool on the site does its full job for free.
We do run ads (see About) — that's how the site stays free. The line we hold is that ads fund the site without being disguised as the tool itself, and without making the tool harder to use than it needs to be.
